International law firm Salans has appointed Berlin competition law expert Dr Jörg Karenfort as the new Head of its Global Competition Practice.
Dr Karenfort has been practicing with Salans in its Berlin office since 2007. In 2008 he became Head of the firm's German Regulatory Group.
Worldwide in the past few years, the firm’s Global Competition capability has grown with additional hires in Berlin, Frankfurt, London, and most recently in China. The Group now extends its reach across 13 countries.
As part of 750 lawyers operating across 21 offices, Salans’ Global Competition Group advises in the areas of merger control, cartel enforcement, distribution and technology licensing, state aid, public procurement, as well as in litigation before national, regional, and international authorities. The Group works closely together in international competition law proceedings and cross-border mergers and is noted for its specialist expertise in the industries of life sciences, energy, ITC and transport. The Group’s experience extends beyond its foundations in the EU to include new markets such as Russia and China.
