Salans’ Banking & Finance team in Paris represented Crédit Lyonnais, Caisse Régionale de Crédit Agricole Mutuel Centre France and Banque Tarneaud in a financing for (i) the purchase of the shares of Financière Valade by a holding company controlled by IDIA Capital Investissement, a French investment fund part of the Crédit Agricole group and (ii) an investment credit to Valade.
Founded over 100 years ago, Valade is France's leading producer of marmalades and stewed fruits for the hypermarkets/supermarkets and the industrial and restaurant catering industry. Valade sales were approximately of 62 million euro in 2009.
The Salans Banking & Finance team comprised partner Philippe Max and associates Maria Nenova and Justin Faye. Partner Olivier Genevois and associates Emmanuel El Medioni and Cécile Szymanski provided advice on the corporate aspects of the LBO. Of Counsel Matthieu Chernet assisted with the tax advice.
