Salans is a full service international law firm with over 750 lawyers worldwide.  We have 22 offices located in the world’s major commercial and financial centres and in many emerging markets.  In regions such as the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe and China, we have been one of the pioneers of international legal work.  Salans is dedicated to handling cross border transactions and investments that require a proper combination of international experience with a depth of knowledge in local law and practice.

Our offices comprise a mix of local lawyers and some expatriates.  Many of our lawyers come from varied backgrounds and speak two or more languages.  Some are qualified in more than one jurisdiction and others have worked in a commercial environment, for example as in-house counsel. We combine our broad range of backgrounds with an active secondment programme of lawyers across the firm.  This ensures that we work seamlessly across countries and continents, providing varied and interesting opportunities for the members of our teams.

We recruit law school graduates and experienced lawyers who are high achievers. We place great emphasis on retention, and many of our lawyers come through to partnership from our associate ranks.  We also recruit talented specialists for our small, effective management and support team.
